It’s For Charity Mate

I didn’t really prepare physically for my recent snowboarding trip, while I still had an terrific time I realised that I’m not as fit as I used to be, and can’t spend the entire year between seasons sitting in front of a computer everyday without doing any exercise, then still expect to fly around the slopes with ease. Of course I’m filled with good intentions, but when push comes to shove (and I suspect I’m not alone on this!), there’s always something else I could be doing rather than jumping on my bike or rowing machine!

So I have given myself a goal, to take part in the 50 mile (80km) London To Brighton bike ride on the 21st June. So that gives me 14 weeks (100 days) to sort myself out, which should be plenty of time (I don’t think I’m that out of shape!?). But I’m not simply doing this for myelf, it’s for the British Heart Foundation, a subject close to my own heart (no pun intended), as my father had a heart attack a couple of years ago.

So I want sponsors, you’ve got 100 days to start saving those pennies to sponsor me, I’m not proud, sterling, dollars, euro’s I don’t mind & neither does the british heart foundation, it’s all the same to us. You can sponsor me by the mile if you want, or by the kilometre, I’ll even track my progress on my Bright Kite page if you want proof.

Here’s the link to my sponsorship page, so go on, you know it’s for a good cause (even if it’s to laugh at my knobbly knees)
