{"id":2272,"date":"2009-09-04T11:05:35","date_gmt":"2009-09-04T11:05:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.brendanmitchell.com\/?p=845"},"modified":"2009-09-04T11:05:35","modified_gmt":"2009-09-04T11:05:35","slug":"i-guess-the-world-needs-a-universal-blog-icon-after-all","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.brendanmitchell.com\/?p=2272","title":{"rendered":"I Guess The World Needs a Universal Blog Icon After All"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wow!<\/p>\n<p>I created a <a title=\"The Blog Icon\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.brendanmitchell.com\/2009\/03\/20\/standard-blog-icon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog icon<\/a> a few months ago and uploaded it to the web, then sort of forgot about it, but I was looking at the site stats yesterday and noticed that on average 20 people a day download the blog icon artwork&#8230; OK not exactly a huge number, but that&#8217;s still over 600 random Google searches a month, and I wasn&#8217;t expecting that! So maybe the idea is a good one after all.<\/p>\n<p>So if you want to see a universally accepted blog icon (and you happen to like my one), then please download it, use it, spread the word by linking to the <a title=\"The Blog Icon Facebook page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/the-blog-icon\/62277622082\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> page, the <a title=\"Follow The Blog Icon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/theblogicon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> page or <a title=\"The Blog Icon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theblogicon.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the blog icon website<\/a>.
