{"id":2260,"date":"2009-03-26T10:30:50","date_gmt":"2009-03-26T10:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.brendanmitchell.com\/?p=646"},"modified":"2009-03-26T10:30:50","modified_gmt":"2009-03-26T10:30:50","slug":"all-those-that-say-aye-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.brendanmitchell.com\/?p=2260","title":{"rendered":"All Those That Say Aye"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve all been there, sitting in a meeting wondering &#8220;Why am I here exactly?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re asking yourself, what&#8217;s the point of all this, what&#8217;s the outcome? Then your meeting will be a complete failure (for you at least), so stop now! Don&#8217;t confuse the purpose of an agenda, it isn&#8217;t there as a check list for you to tick off what you need to discuss, it&#8217;s there to be a guide to what your <strong>outcomes<\/strong> are.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t start a meeting without clearly defined outcomes, or letting everyone know what they are, as you&#8217;ll be wasting everybody&#8217;s time, and <strong>never<\/strong> finish a meeting with a list of things to discuss next time.
